I’ve been going to the gym since September last year (which isn’t long) and I can honestly say it has helped me in so many ways. If you are still looking for a reason to go to the gym/workout, let me tell you about how it has helped me.
It’s only a few weeks away until my 5K race for charity. I’m not feeling too nervous at the minute but I know when I get to the start line I will be! I’ve never done a 5K before so I’ve been planning how I can get myself fit and ready for it. I’ve put together at little 5 week plan for my 5K. (See image below)
This weekend I’ve been experimenting with some new snack ideas. I plan to join the gym after I start my job (as I’m a little short on money) and plan to try to eat right whilst doing it. I’m not going on a ‘diet’ because I hate that word but I’d like to eat more fruit and veg and eat the right things after a workout.
So I tried to make a post gym treat this weekend. I went with the classic – flapjacks! I’ve added some other things to them – which I think runners may need after some endurance training.
